Product Description

Permabond® 919 Cyanoacrylate is an allyl-based, low-viscosity adhesive specifically engineered to meet high-temperature resistance requirements. While it cures rapidly at room temperature like traditional cyanoacrylates, it features a unique secondary curing mechanism activated by heat. Following a post-curing schedule, this 100% reactive, solvent-free adhesive can withstand extreme environmental temperatures up to 250°C (482°F).

Key features

  • Extreme temperature resistance: Secondary thermal cure mechanism allows the bonded joint to resist temperatures up to 250°C (482°F).
  • Fast setting: Delivers fixture handling times of under 20 seconds on steel, phenolic, and rubber substrates at room temperature.
  • Low viscosity: The 2-6 cP viscosity is ideal for tight-fitting parts and post-assembly wicking with a maximum gap fill of 0.05 mm.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Assemblies exposed to high-temperature environments (up to 250°C after post-cure)
  • Bonding metals (steel, aluminum), plastics, and rubbers
  • Military and aerospace applications requiring MIL-A-46050C Type V Class 1 approval
