LOCTITE E-40FL

Main features

  • Toughened Epoxy Bonding
  • Medium Owrking Life
  • Shock and Vibration Resistance

Product Description

LOCTITE® EA E-40FL™ is a toughened, medium-viscosity, two-component epoxy adhesive designed for flexible bonding applications requiring excellent shock and impact resistance. After mixing, the adhesive cures at room temperature to form a flexible gray bond line with strong adhesion to plastics, metals, glass, wood, ceramics, rubber and masonry. The cured material provides good chemical and solvent resistance together with excellent electrical insulation characteristics, making it suitable for bonding dissimilar materials and low-stress, high-impact assemblies.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Toughened two-component epoxy adhesive.
  • Flexible cured bond line with excellent impact resistance.
  • Medium working life for convenient assembly operations.
  • Excellent resistance to shock and vibration.
  • Good chemical and solvent resistance after cure.
  • Excellent electrical insulation properties.
  • Suitable for bonding dissimilar materials.

Recommended Applications

  • Plastic, metal, glass and ceramic bonding.
  • Rubber-to-metal bonding applications.
  • Repair of strain gauges and printed circuit boards.
  • Sealing fiberglass component seams.
  • Bonding stainless steel inserts and hose assemblies.
