- Two-Part Ambient-Cure Processing
- Adhesion to Glass
Product Description
LOCTITE® EA E-30CL™ Epoxy Adhesive is a low-viscosity, two-component industrial epoxy for bonding, small potting, staking, and laminating applications. The resin and amine hardener mix at a 2:1 ratio by volume and cure at room temperature with minimal shrinkage to form an ultra-clear, colorless-to-slightly-yellow bondline. The cured material combines structural and electrical insulating properties with resistance to a range of chemicals and solvents. Documented bonding substrates include glass, optical fibers, ceramics, metals, and many rigid plastics.
Key features
- Ultra-clear cured bondline: Cures with minimal shrinkage to a colorless-to-slightly-yellow solid for applications where optical clarity is required.
- Low-viscosity, self-leveling processing: The mixed adhesive is free-flowing and self-leveling, with a 30-minute working time at 25°C.
- Structural and electrical performance: The cured epoxy provides a typical tensile strength of 55 N/mm² and dielectric breakdown strength of 20 kV/mm.
Applications / Suitable for
- Bonding applications requiring optical clarity
- Small potting applications
- Component staking
- Laminating applications
- Bonding glass, optical fibers, ceramics, metals, and many rigid plastics
