Product Description

LOCTITE STYCAST ANTIFOAM 88 is a clear, low-viscosity acrylated-copolymer air-release additive for controlling foam in resin systems. The liquid blends into compatible epoxy, urethane, polyester, and polysulfide-rubber formulations where entrained air or process foaming must be reduced. Its low-viscosity form supports incorporation into the host resin and can also assist vacuum de-airing processes. The product functions as a processing additive rather than a standalone cured material; resulting properties remain specific to the resin chemistry, addition level, mixing method, cure, and application.

Key features

  • Organic air-release additive: The acrylated-copolymer liquid is used to reduce or prevent foam formation in resin systems.
  • Multi-resin formulation scope: Supported host systems include epoxies, urethanes, polyesters, and polysulfide rubbers.
  • Vacuum de-airing support: The additive supports vacuum-assisted air-removal processes in compatible resin systems.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Foam control in epoxy systems
  • Air release in urethane, polyester, and polysulfide-rubber formulations
  • Vacuum de-airing of compatible resin systems
