Main features
- High-Strength Cylindrical Retention
- Medium-Viscosity Application Control
- Anaerobic One-Part Metal Cure
Product Description
LOCTITE 635 is a green, medium-viscosity one-component anaerobic retaining compound for high-strength bonding of cylindrical metal parts. It fills the clearance between close-fitting components and cures after air is excluded, locking rotors on shafts, bushings and sleeves, and press-fit assemblies. A 1,500 to 2,500 mPa s viscosity supports controlled application before assembly. The cured material develops measured compressive-shear strength on steel pins and collars, with strength increasing under the specified heat-cure schedules. This high-strength grade is intended for joints where permanent retention is preferred over routine disassembly.
Key features
- High-strength cylindrical retention: Measured steel pin-and-collar shear values support permanent retaining applications.
- Medium-viscosity placement control: A 1,500 to 2,500 mPa s viscosity supports controlled coverage of cylindrical fits.
- Anaerobic one-part cure: The compound cures in confined metal joints without mixing.
Applications / Suitable for
- Retaining rotors on shafts
- Locking bushings and sleeves
- Augmenting press-fit cylindrical assemblies
