- High-Viscosity Placement Control
- to Plastics Bonding
- Reduced Dripping and Migration
Product Description
LOCTITE® 409 is a one-component, high-viscosity ethyl cyanoacrylate adhesive gel designed for general-purpose bonding of plastics, rubbers and metals. Its gel consistency prevents running and dripping, making it particularly effective for use on vertical and overhead surfaces. The adhesive cures rapidly when exposed to ambient humidity, delivering strong bonds and fast handling strength while maintaining excellent gap-filling capability compared to low-viscosity instant adhesives. LOCTITE 409 is commonly used for industrial assembly, repair applications and component bonding where controlled adhesive placement and non-sag performance are required.
- High-viscosity gel formulation prevents adhesive flow.
- Suitable for use on vertical and overhead surfaces.
- One-component adhesive requiring no mixing.
- Fast humidity-activated cure at room temperature.
- Bonds plastics, rubbers and metals.
- Controlled application with reduced dripping and migration.
- Provides strong, durable bonds with good gap-filling capability.
Recommended Applications
- General-purpose industrial assembly.
- Plastic, rubber and metal component bonding.
- Vertical and overhead bonding applications.
- Maintenance and repair operations.
- Applications requiring controlled adhesive placement.
