Product Description
LOCTITE® 263™ is a high-strength anaerobic threadlocking adhesive engineered for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. The one-component acrylic formulation cures when confined between closely fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air, preventing loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration. LOCTITE 263 is particularly suited for heavy-duty applications such as studs installed into motor housings, nuts on pump housing studs and other assemblies requiring high-strength retention. The adhesive delivers reliable curing performance on both active metals such as brass and copper and passive substrates including stainless steel and plated surfaces. It also provides high-temperature performance and tolerates minor contamination from industrial oils, lubricants and corrosion-protection fluids.
