Product Description
LOCTITE 84 Medium-Strength Threadlocker is a one-part blue low-viscosity anaerobic liquid for locking and sealing fine-threaded nuts, bolts, and studs. Its 10 to 25 mPa s viscosity supports application to close-fitting threads and preassembled through-hole joints, while the medium-strength cured bond remains removable with ordinary hand tools. The material requires no mixing and cures after air is excluded within the threaded assembly. After 24 hours at 22 deg C, it develops 6 N m breakaway torque on 3/8 x 24 grade 2 steel fasteners under ISO 10964 testing. Applications include fine-threaded metal assemblies requiring secure retention and planned disassembly.
