  • Quick-Set Epoxy Adhesive
  • Room-Temperature Epoxy Cure
  • 1:1 Mix Ratio

Product Description

Epibond® 1217 A/B Epoxy Adhesive is a two-part, translucent epoxy adhesive system designed for rapid bonding of steel, aluminum, wood, ceramics, and a variety of polymeric substrates. This room-temperature-curing adhesive uses a simple 1:1 mix ratio by weight or volume and develops handling strength quickly, making it suitable for fast assembly and repair operations. The material is supplied as a paste and is available in twin-cartridge packaging for dispensing through static mixing equipment. Typical cured lap shear strength on aluminum reaches 2,500 psi (17.2 MPa) at 25°C, providing strong adhesion across a range of common engineering materials.

Key features

  • Fast room-temperature cure: Typical cure is achieved within 1 to 2 hours at 25°C for rapid assembly processes.
  • Simple 1:1 mix ratio: Equal-volume and equal-weight mixing simplifies dispensing and processing.
  • Strong structural bonding: Typical aluminum-to-aluminum lap shear strength reaches 2,500 psi (17.2 MPa) at 25°C.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Bonding steel components
  • Bonding aluminum assemblies
  • Wood bonding applications
  • Ceramic assembly and repair
  • Bonding a variety of polymeric substrates
