BONDRITE C-AK MIL-ETCH
Harmonization Code : 3208.20.90 | Paints and varnishes that are dispersed or dissolved in a non aqueous medium

Main features
- Fine Satin or Frosted Etch on Aluminum
- Low-Foam Alkaline Formulation
- Scale- and Sludge-Reducing Sequestering Chemistry
Product Description
BONDERITE® C-AK MIL-ETCH AERO Alkaline Cleaner is a granular alkaline etching compound formulated to produce a fine satin or frosted finish on aluminum and its alloys. The product is used as an immersion etch solution during metal surface preparation and develops a low-foam blanket that helps minimize caustic mist during operation. Its sequestering chemistry helps reduce scale and sludge buildup on tanks and heating coils, supporting efficient bath operation and reduced maintenance.
Key Features
- Produces a uniform satin or frosted etch on aluminum and aluminum alloys for surface preparation.
- Low-foam alkaline formulation helps reduce caustic mist escaping from the etch bath.
- Outstanding sequestering action minimizes scale and sludge buildup on tanks and heating coils for improved bath efficiency.
Applications / Suitable for
- Immersion etching of aluminum and aluminum alloys
- Surface preparation prior to subsequent finishing processes
- Aerospace aluminum processing operations, including approved BAC 5786 additive applications where specified.
