- 30.4 MPa Aluminum Lap Shear
Product Description
ARALDITE® 2011-A/B is a two-component, multi-purpose epoxy adhesive for bonding metals, ceramics, wood, vulcanized rubber, foams and plastics. The viscous system mixes at 100:80 by weight or 1:1 by volume and provides a typical 2-hour pot life at 25°C for a 4 fl oz mass. It can be applied manually or with meter/mix equipment and cures from 20°C to 180°C without releasing volatile constituents. The cured adhesive is electrically insulating and combines shear and peel performance with resistance to static and dynamic loading. Recommended bondline thickness is 0.05 to 0.10 mm, with handling strength achievable from 12 hours at 20°C to 4 minutes at 150°C under the stated cure schedules.
Key features
- Broad substrate range: Listed for bonding metals, ceramics, wood, vulcanized rubber, foams and plastics.
- Extended working time and flexible cure: Typical pot life is 2 hours at 25°C for a 4 fl oz mass, with room-temperature and accelerated heat-cure schedules.
- Documented bonded-joint performance: Typical aluminum lap shear reaches 30.4 MPa after a 150°C cure for 10-20 minutes, with roller peel of 4.9 N/mm under the stated test conditions.
