- Extended Assembly Work Life
- Pre-Assembly Tack and Gap Fill
Product Description
3M Thermally Conductive Epoxy Adhesive TC-2810 is a two-part boron-nitride-filled epoxy adhesive for thermally conductive, electrically insulating bonding. The 2:1 by-volume mix provides a typical 100 to 120 minute work life at 23 deg C and slight tack for pre-assembly. Mixed viscosity is 40,000 to 80,000 cP, supporting gap filling, potting, and thin bondline application. Typical cured thermal conductivity is 0.80 to 1.4 W/(m K), with volume resistivity of 1.5 x 10^14 ohm cm. Multiple ambient and heat-cure schedules allow the process to be matched to the assembly.
Key features
- Thermally conductive insulation: Ceramic filler combines a typical 0.80 to 1.4 W/(m K) cured value with electrical insulation.
- Extended assembly work life: A typical 100 to 120 minute window at 23 deg C supports placement and pre-assembly.
- Gap filling with pre-assembly tack: Mixed flow supports potting and thin bondlines, while slight tack holds parts before cure.
Applications
Applications include LED assembly, electrically insulating thermal bonding, potting, and general gap filling.
