- Alignment-Friendly Slower Set Time
Product Description
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Instant Adhesive CA40H is a clear, single-component, high-strength cyanoacrylate adhesive designed for room-temperature curing. Formulated as a higher-viscosity and slightly slower-setting alternative to standard CA40, it helps prevent run-off during application while providing extra time for precise part alignment. This adhesive delivers exceptional performance on difficult-to-bond substrates, offering particularly good adhesion to aluminum, EPDM rubber, and flexible vinyl, alongside good resistance to soap solutions and isopropyl alcohol.
Key features
- Controlled application: Higher viscosity formulation (400-600 cP) helps prevent adhesive run-off for cleaner, more precise dispensing.
- Optimized set time: Slightly slower setting time allows for the proper alignment of parts before handling strength is achieved.
- Difficult substrate bonding: Provides strong, reliable bonds to challenging materials such as aluminum, EPDM rubber, and flexible vinyl.
Applications / Suitable for
- Bonding difficult-to-bond rubbers, plastics, and metals
- Assembling EPDM rubber and flexible vinyl components
- Applications requiring resistance to soap solutions and isopropyl alcohol
