Main features

  • Selectable B-1/2 and B-2 work lives
  • Non-sag extrusion and spatula application
  • Corrosion-inhibitive aircraft sealing

Product Description

H.B. Fuller WS-8072 Class B Non-Chromate Corrosion-Inhibitive Sealant is a two-part, manganese-cured polysulfide aircraft sealant supplied in B-1/2 and B-2 work-life grades for corrosion-inhibitive sealing. The lightweight, thixotropic material mixes to a dark brown, non-sag compound that can be applied by extrusion gun or spatula. A 100:7.9 volume ratio or 100:12 weight ratio controls the base-to-curing-agent mix. After cure, the sealant remains flexible at -65 deg F without loss of adhesion or cracking and retains physical properties after limited exposure to aviation fuels and oils. Grade-specific application and assembly times allow selection around the required sealing workflow.

Key features

  • Selectable work-life grades: B-1/2 and B-2 options provide different application and assembly windows
  • Non-sag application: Thixotropic compound supports extrusion-gun or spatula placement
  • Corrosion-inhibitive sealing: Forms a barrier on aluminum and documented dissimilar-metal interfaces

Applications

Aircraft fay-surface and channel sealing; corrosion-inhibitive sealing of aluminum and dissimilar-metal interfaces.
