- Targeted Acrylic Tape Priming
Product Description
Royal AP-1 Adhesion Promoter is a one-part, solvent-based liquid surface treatment for use before selected acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive tape systems. Applied at a wet laydown of 1 to 8 mil, it creates a controlled interfacial treatment without serving as the bonded-joint adhesive. The liquid format is suited to prepared surfaces where tape adhesion promotion is required and the treatment can be applied as a thin, consistent layer. AP-1 is not intended to prevent plasticizer migration, making that boundary important when evaluating vinyl or other plasticized substrates.
Key features
- One-part liquid treatment: The solvent-based product is applied before the supported acrylic pressure-sensitive tape system.
- Controlled wet laydown: The specified application range is 1 to 8 mil wet.
- Plasticizer-migration boundary: The treatment is not intended to block plasticizer migration.
