MOLYKOTE BR-2
Harmonization Code : 3403.19 | Lubricating Preparations (With 70% or More Petroleum Oils) For Automotive and Other Uses

Main features
- MoS2/Graphite Lithium Grease
- High-Load Moderate/High-Speed Lubrication
- Long-Term Industrial Lubrication
Product Description
MOLYKOTE® BR-2 Plus High Performance Grease is a lithium-soap-thickened mineral oil grease fortified with molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂) and other solid lubricants. Engineered for metal-to-metal combinations involving slow to fast movements, it functions as a heavy-duty, extreme-pressure (EP) lubricant capable of supporting medium to high loads. It offers excellent emergency running properties in mixed friction regimes, utilizing its solid lubricants and EP additives to provide essential wear protection when the hydrodynamic film is compromised.
Key features
- High load-carrying capacity: Protects heavily loaded contacts and prevents galling, demonstrating a four-ball weld load of 3,600 N and an Almen-Wieland OK load of 15,500 N.
- Robust environmental resistance: Delivers long-term lubrication with good oxidation stability, water-washout resistance, and broad corrosion protection—including specific protection against scarring (false Brinelling) and fretting corrosion.
- Clean formulation: Manufactured without intentional polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
Applications / Suitable for
- Roller bearings, plain bearings, and ball-and-socket joints
- Sliding guides and roller guides
- Splined shafts and threaded spindles
