LORD MAXLOK MX/T3S

Main features

  • Minimal-Preparation Metal Bonding
  • Fast 6- to 8-Minute Handling
  • Controlled Non-Sag Bondline

Product Description

LORD Maxlok MX/T3S is a two-part acrylic adhesive system that combines T3S adhesive with MX accelerator for bonding a wide range of metals with minimal surface preparation. Mixed at 1:4 adhesive-to-accelerator by volume, the system provides a 3 to 5 minute working time and reaches 50 psi shear handling strength in 6 to 8 minutes at 25 deg C. Its non-sag consistency supports vertical and overhead application, while 0.010 in (0.025 cm) glass beads help control bondline thickness. After cure, the adhesive performs from -40 to 149 deg C and resists moisture, salt spray, weathering, oils, solvents, dilute acids, alkalis, and indirect UV exposure.

Key features

  • Rapid handling strength: Reaches 50 psi shear handling strength in 6 to 8 minutes at 25 deg C after a 3 to 5 minute working time.
  • Controlled non-sag application: Remains in position on vertical and overhead surfaces, with glass beads for 0.010 in bondline control.
  • Wide-temperature resistance: Performs from -40 to 149 deg C with resistance to moisture, salt spray, weathering, and indirect UV exposure.

Applications

Replacing welding, brazing, riveting, and other mechanical fastening methods in assemblies exposed to high impact, high peel loads, or broad temperature environments.
