Product Description

LOCTITE UK 3173 Polyurethane Potting Resin is the low-viscosity polyurethane resin component of the LOCTITE UK 3173 / UK 3184 potting system. The clear to dark-brown resin has a typical viscosity of 75 mPa s at 25 deg C and is mixed with UK 3184 hardener at 1:4.8 by volume or 15:85 by weight. The combined material has a mixed viscosity of 2,250 mPa s, a 45 minute work time, and a 24 hour room-temperature cure. The resulting flame-retardant potting compound is used for encapsulation where controlled flow, electrical insulation, and a Shore A 80 cured material are required.
