Main features

  • RTV Silicone Cure
  • Tough, Flexible Silicone Rubber
  • Broad Substrate Compatibility

Product Description

LOCTITE® SI 5015 is a one-component acetoxy silicone RTV gasketing compound that cures at room temperature upon exposure to atmospheric moisture to form a tough, flexible silicone rubber gasket. The material provides excellent resistance to aging, weathering, vibration, and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking, or cracking. It is designed for gasket replacement and gasket dressing applications and adheres to a wide variety of substrates. Typical automotive applications include valve covers, timing gear covers, differential covers, oil pans, transmission pans, water pumps, and thermostat housings.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Room-temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone gasket maker.
  • Provides tough, flexible silicone rubber seals.
  • Resists aging, weathering and thermal cycling.
  • Will not harden, shrink or crack during service.
  • Enhances load-bearing and shock-absorbing characteristics.
  • Safe for use with automotive oxygen sensors.
  • Adheres to a broad range of substrates.

Recommended Applications

  • Valve covers.
  • Timing gear covers.
