LOCTITE LB8040
Harmonization Code : 3403.19 | Lubricating Preparations (With 70% or More Petroleum Oils) For Automotive and Other Uses

Main features
- -43 deg C Freeze-and-Release Cooling
- Fast Penetrating Lubricant
- Corrosion-Protective Residual Film
Product Description
LOCTITE® LB 8040™ Freeze & Release is a special mineral oil-based rust treatment and releasing lubricant designed to free seized, rusted, and corroded metal components. Its unique shock-freezing technology cools parts to approximately -43°C, creating microscopic cracks in rust layers that allow the lubricant to penetrate rapidly by capillary action. After release, the treated parts remain lubricated and protected against further corrosion.
Key Features & Benefits
- Shock-freezing action cools components to -43°C.
- Breaks rust bonds through microscopic cracking.
- Fast penetrating mineral oil lubricant.
- Frees rusted, corroded and seized metal parts.
- Provides ongoing lubrication after release.
- Leaves corrosion-protective film.
- Convenient aerosol spray application.
Recommended Applications
- Rusted nuts and bolts.
- Corroded threaded fasteners.
- Seized shafts and metal assemblies.
- Industrial maintenance and repair operations.
- General rust-release treatment for metal components.
