- One-Component Sealing System
Product Description
LOCTITE® 554 is a one-component, medium-viscosity anaerobic thread sealant formulated for metal threaded fittings and pipe up to 50 mm in diameter. The red methacrylate ester liquid cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air, providing maximum solvent resistance in demanding service environments. It is recommended for refrigeration systems and applications involving strong chemicals, including metal and fiber plants, chemical and paper processing facilities, waste treatment operations, and textile manufacturing.
Key features
- High solvent resistance: Designed for threaded fittings exposed to refrigeration service and strong chemicals.
- Thread sealing up to 50 mm: Intended for close-fitting metal pipe and fittings up to 2 inches in diameter.
- One-component anaerobic cure: Requires no mixing and cures when confined between mating metal surfaces.
