Main features
- 1.06 Low-Loss Dielectric Constant
- 0.0001 Loss Tangent
- Heat-Sealable Closed-Cell Foam
Product Description
Eccostock PP-4 Low-Loss Polyethylene Foam is a flexible, closed-cell cross-linked foam for dielectric spacing, electromagnetic transparency, and thermal insulation. The PP-4 grade combines a typical dielectric constant of 1.06 with a 0.0001 loss tangent and 0.064 g/cc density. It returns toward its original thickness after compression and can be heat sealed into blocks or contoured forms. The material also offers low water absorption and practical weather resistance for lightweight fabricated structures. Applications include radomes, radar-transparent blankets and covers, electrical and microwave structures, antenna spacers, and selected buoyancy components.
Key features
- Stable Low-Loss Dielectric: A 1.06 dielectric constant and 0.0001 loss tangent support electromagnetic transparency.
- Flexible Closed-Cell Construction: Cross-linked polyethylene foam can be compressed, contoured, and heat sealed.
- Lightweight Thermal Insulation: Low density is combined with 0.042 W/(m K) typical thermal conductivity.
Applications / Suitable for
- Radomes, blankets, and radar-transparent coverings
- Electrical and microwave structures
- Antenna spacers and selected buoyancy components
