Product Description
Kester 1544 Activated Rosin Liquid Flux is an alcohol-based, activated rosin flux for electronic soldering, solder coating, and tinning. The ROM1 formulation combines 50% typical solids with rapid wetting and capillary flow where non-activated or mildly activated rosin fluxes do not provide enough oxide removal. It can be applied by brush, dip, or wave methods and supports typical board-side preheat temperatures of 90 to 105 deg C. The post-solder residue is non-conductive and non-corrosive and normally does not require removal. Applications include wave soldering, lead tinning, and assembly processes requiring an activated rosin flux.
