Product Description
INSULCAST® 140 FR with INSULCURE® 11B is a black, two-component epoxy casting and encapsulation system formulated for high thermal conductivity and Class F operating properties. The resin is combined with INSULCURE 11B at a published ratio of 100:3 to 4 by weight and has a typical mixed viscosity of 50,000 cP. The system is documented for electrical insulation and heat transfer in demanding electronic assemblies. Typical cured properties include Shore D 90 to 95 hardness, 2.3 W/m·K thermal conductivity, 420 V/mil dielectric strength, and service from -55°C to 155°C.
Key features
- High thermal conductivity: Typical cured thermal conductivity is 2.3 W/m·K.
- Class F operating properties: The system is documented for elevated-temperature electrical encapsulation.
- Rigid electrical insulation: Typical cured data include Shore D 90 to 95 hardness and 420 V/mil dielectric strength.
Applications / Suitable for
- Thermally conductive electrical casting
- Electronic potting and encapsulation
- Assemblies requiring Class F operating properties
