HARDENER HY 8683

Main features

  • Fast-Setting Polyurea for Filter Bonding
  • 15-Minute Working Window
  • 475% Elongation with 100 Pli Peel

Product Description

ARALDITE® AY 8683 Resin / Hardener HY 8683 is a two-component polyurea elastomeric adhesive formulated for filter-bonding applications. The fast-setting system cures at room temperature and can be mixed by hand or processed through meter-mix equipment. A 100:60 resin-to-hardener ratio by weight or volume, 15-minute pot life at 77°F (25°C) for a 90 g mass, and typical mixed viscosity of 2,500–3,000 cP support dispensing and assembly. After a seven-day room-temperature cure, typical properties include Shore A 95 ± 5 hardness, 475% ultimate elongation, and 100 pli floating roller peel. The cured adhesive is tough and resilient.

Key features

  • Filter-bonding formulation: Two-component polyurea elastomeric adhesive developed for filter assembly applications.
  • Controlled two-component processing: Uses a 100:60 resin-to-hardener ratio by weight or volume with a typical 15-minute pot life at 77°F (25°C).
  • Resilient cured performance: Typical cured properties include 475% elongation and 100 pli floating roller peel under the stated test conditions.
