ENTHONE 50

Main features

  • Ambient or Heat-Cure Flexibility
  • Multi-Method Permanent Marking
  • Chemical- and Thermal-Resistant Films

Product Description

ENTHONE 50-Series Inks are permanent, two-component epoxy screen-printing inks for durable legend and component marking. The family adheres to photoimageable, thermal, and UV solder masks as well as glass, metal, and compatible plastics when properly applied and cured. Catalyst options provide room-temperature or heat-cure processing, while screen printing, spraying, brushing, and roller printing support several marking methods. Cured films provide chemical and thermal resistance, with color-specific electrical insulation data defined for controlled cure and humidity conditions. Applications include circuit boards, semiconductor components, connectors, dials, nameplates, chassis, glass, and thermoplastics.

Key features

  • Multiple Marking Methods: Screen printing, spraying, brushing, and roller printing cover varied production requirements.
  • Flexible Catalyst Cure: Available catalyst options support room-temperature or controlled heat cure.
  • Cured Electrical Characterization: Color-specific insulation resistance is defined before and after humidity conditioning.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Permanent circuit-board legends
  • Semiconductor-component marking
  • Connectors, dials, and nameplates
  • Chassis and edge-lit panels
  • Glass and thermoplastic marking

Technical properties

As-supplied / before-processing properties

Typical processing data for the ENTHONE 50-Series family. Color- and catalyst-specific conditions are identified where applicable.

Property Value Unit Method / condition
Standard catalyst addition 4.0 to 9.0 parts by weight Per 100 parts ink; exact value depends on 50-Series color and catalyst
Catalyst 5 addition 7.0 to 11.5 parts by weight Per 100 parts ink; only for colors where Catalyst 5 is recommended
Induction period 30; 60 min All standard catalysts; Catalyst 5, respectively
Average pot life 1 to 24 max hr Depends on selected catalyst; measured after induction
Shelf life Ink 3; catalysts 2 years From date of manufacture
Screen mesh 180 to 350 mesh count Monofilament polyester, metallized polyester, or equivalent stainless steel
Squeegee hardness 60 to 80 durometer Sharp, nick-free squeegee for screen printing
Technical properties

After-processing / final-state properties

Typical cured-film data for specified colors and cure conditions. Electrical values vary by ink color and cure schedule.

Property Value Unit Method / condition
