- 4,500 to 10,000 cP Mixed Viscosity
Product Description
CONAPOXY® FR-1210 Epoxy Encapsulant Resin is a tan, mineral-filled epoxy resin for two-component electrical potting and casting systems. The resin may be combined with CONACURE EA-02, EA-028, or EA-87 to produce systems with low shrinkage, controlled coefficient of thermal expansion, resistance to mechanical and thermal shock, and electrical insulation. The resin has a typical viscosity of 95,000 cP and specific gravity of 1.66 at 25°C. Published mixed-system viscosity ranges from 4,500 to 10,000 cP, with 24-hour room-temperature or two-hour 60°C cure schedules.
Key features
- Mineral-filled epoxy resin: The resin is formulated for low-shrinkage potting and casting systems.
- Three hardener options: EA-02, EA-028, and EA-87 provide different mixed viscosity and cured properties.
- Room-temperature or heat cure: Published systems cure for 24 hours at 25°C or two hours at 60°C.
Applications / Suitable for
- Electrical and electronic potting
- Epoxy casting
- Assemblies exposed to mechanical and thermal shock
