Main features
- Medium-Hard Silicone Binder Resin
- 60% Resin Solids
- Coating Heat/Weather/Flow/Gloss Improvement
Product Description
DOWSIL™ RSN-0840 Resin is a medium-hard silicone binder resin in toluene for maintenance paints, colored baking enamels, decorative finishes, and modification of organic coating systems. The resin is documented for improving heat resistance, weathering, moisture resistance, flow-out, initial gloss, and surface appearance in compatible formulations. Aluminum coatings containing 10% to 30% of the resin may provide short-duration heat resistance, while blends with organic binders are used for elevated-temperature gloss and color retention. Typical properties include 60% resin solids by weight, 20 cP viscosity, and 1.06 specific gravity.
Key features
