- One-Part, Solventless Silicone Coating
- Multiple Supported Application Methods
- UV-Aided Coating Inspection
Product Description
DOWSIL™ Q1-4010 Conformal Coating is a one-part, transparent silicone conformal coating for protecting rigid and flexible circuit boards, printed wiring boards, and assemblies containing sensitive components or fine-pitch designs. The medium-viscosity, solventless material can be applied by dip, spray, brush, flow, or automated pattern coating and uses temperature-controlled heat curing for rapid processing. After cure, it forms a soft, low-stress elastomer with electrical insulation properties. A built-in UV indicator supports visual or automated inspection of coating coverage. The product is listed to IPC-CC-830B and UL 746E, classified UL 94 V-1, and tested to MIL-I-46058C Amendment 7.
Key features
- Rapid heat cure: Typical cure time is 10 minutes after the coating reaches 100°C, with actual time dependent on film thickness, oven type, and board thermal mass.
- Soft silicone protection: Cures to a 33 Shore A, low-stress elastomer with a typical dielectric strength of 23 kV/mm.
- Inspection and qualification support: Contains a UV indicator and carries IPC-CC-830B, UL 746E, UL 94 V-1, and MIL-I-46058C Amendment 7 credentials.
Applications / Suitable for
- Rigid and flexible circuit boards
- Printed wiring boards
- Boards with sensitive components and fine-pitch designs
