Product Description

CONATHANE EN-5310 is a two-component, unfilled polyurethane potting compound for re-enterable electrical and electronic encapsulation. It offers a 1:1 volume mix option, a typical 3,000 cP initial mixed viscosity at 25 C, a 10 to 20 minute work life, and ratio-dependent cured properties. Combine the selected quantities and mix until homogeneous. Listed cured configurations span 17 to 55 Shore A hardness, 240 to 550 psi tensile strength, and 85% to 170% elongation.

CONATHANE EN-5310, formerly CONATHANE DPEN-22400, is a two-component, unfilled polyurethane potting compound for re-enterable electrical and electronic encapsulation. It offers a 1:1 volume mix option, a typical 3,000 cP initial mixed viscosity at 25 C, a 10 to 20 minute work life, and ratio-dependent cured properties.

Processing

Mix, degas, and cure

Select one Part A:Part B ratio and keep that configuration consistent through mixing, degassing, cure, and final-property interpretation.

Select and prepare

Use the Part A:Part B ratio chosen for the required cured-property profile. Mix components in metal or glass equipment and avoid introducing moisture.

Mix and degas

Combine the selected quantities and mix until homogeneous. Degas the mixed system at more than 27 in Hg vacuum at room temperature, leaving capacity for material froth.

Place and cure

Pour or dispense into the prepared assembly. The room-temperature cure recommendation is 5 to 7 days at 25 C.

Processing boundary:EN-5310 supports multiple Part A:Part B ratios. Keep the selected ratio, cure schedule, and matching cured-property row together for the actual assembly.

Storage and handling

Protect components from moisture

Store Part A and Part B at or below 25 C in a dry location away from sunlight. Shelf life is 12 months from shipment in original sealed containers. Both components are moisture-sensitive. If Part A crystallizes, heat it to 60 C, mix until uniform, and cool before use.
