BONDERITE L-FM PRETREAT
Harmonization Code : 3403.19 | Lubricating Preparations (With 70% or More Petroleum Oils) For Automotive and Other Uses

Main features
- Heat-Treatment Scale Inhibition
- Lubricating Protective Forming Coating
- Fast-Drying Post-Treatment Descaling Aid
Product Description
BONDERITE® L-FM PRETREAT AERO is a liquid lubricant and protective coating formulated to inhibit the formation of tenacious scale during heat treatment of ferrous metals, stainless steels, nickel-chromium alloys, and copper alloys in non-inert gas atmosphere furnaces. It also functions as a lubricant for hot forming and hot flaring of titanium, cold forming of 17-7 PH steel, a protective coating for carbon steel dies during hot sizing, a rust preventive for mild steel, and a protective coating for copper alloys during annealing. The coating significantly reduces metal loss, intergranular oxidation, and surface notching while minimizing the need for aggressive acid descaling after heat treatment. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
Key Features
- Inhibits tenacious scale formation during heat treatment of multiple metal alloys.
- Reduces metal loss, intergranular oxidation, and surface notching.
- Functions as both a forming lubricant and protective coating for hot and cold forming operations.
- Shortens post-heat-treatment descaling time while minimizing the need for aggressive acid cleaning.
- Spray-applied coating that dries rapidly and resists scuffing and fingerprinting.
