BONDERITE C-AK 6849 AERO, formerly known as TURCO 6849, is a clear aqueous alkaline degreaser formulated to remove shop soils, marking inks, cosmoline, grease, and lubricating oils from ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. It is designed for immersion cleaning at a 10–20% concentration in water and provides an aqueous alternative to solvent-based vapor degreasing fluids. The cleaner is approved to Boeing BAC 5763, Type 2, and has documented compatibility and corrosion-test performance across multiple aerospace metals.
