Product Description
ALPHA WS-609 Solder Paste is a halide-free, neutral-pH water-soluble solder paste for stencil-printed surface-mount assembly and other processes that use post-reflow water cleaning. Its water-soluble carrier supports complete residue removal, while the activator system is designed to wet tarnished surfaces across documented base metals and finishes. Type 3 and Type 4 powders support printing; Type 5 is available for dispensing applications, with several tin-lead and lead-free alloy options. Stencil life is four hours and tack life exceeds six hours at 21-27 deg C and 30-60% RH. Nominal spiral viscosity is 3,000 poise at 5 rpm, and refrigerated shelf life is three months at 0-10 deg C.
