Product Description
ALPHA 615 RMA Flux is the 37% solids grade in the ALPHA 615 super RMA liquid-flux series for wave soldering printed circuit assemblies. It supports foam, wave, and spray fluxing and is classified ROL0 per IPC J-STD-004. A typical topside preheat of 180 to 200 deg F activates the flux, with higher preheat used for assemblies with substantial heat-sinking. Maintain the working flux by measuring specific gravity at 77 deg F and keeping it within +0.015 to -0.005 of nominal. Residues remain cleanable after high preheat with a compatible solvent blend or aqueous saponifier.
