- High Initial Adhesion and Holding
- Multi-Substrate Pressure-Sensitive Bonding
Product Description
3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 950 is a 5 mil (0.13 mm) adhesive transfer tape featuring 3M™ Adhesive 300, a pressure-sensitive, medium-firm, fibered acrylic adhesive supplied on a tan 60# glassine liner. It provides very high initial adhesion with good holding power across a range of materials, including metals, foams, fabrics, coated papers, and high- and low-surface-energy plastics.
Key features
- High initial adhesion: 3M™ Adhesive 300 provides strong initial bonding with good holding power.
- Broad substrate compatibility: Bonds to metals, foams, fabrics, coated papers, and high- and low-surface-energy plastics.
- Conformable 5 mil adhesive: The 0.13 mm adhesive thickness supports bonding to surfaces where texture may be visible.
- Environmental resistance: Provides resistance to humidity, water, UV exposure, temperature cycling, oil, mild acids, and mild alkalis when properly applied.
- UL-recognized construction: Recognized under UL 969 for Marking and Labeling Systems Materials Components.
Applications / Suitable for
- Bonding graphic nameplates and overlays
- Attaching metal nameplates and rating plates
- Laminating foam for gasket applications
- Joining similar and dissimilar industrial materials
