Product Description
3M Lapping Film 865X is a precision silica-coated polyester lapping film for controlled fine finishing and fiber-optic connector polishing. The abrasive coating is carried on a polyester film backing and is available in disc, sheet, and roll formats for multistep lapping sequences. The 865X product is available in multiple micron grades for different polishing stages without changing the basic film-backed abrasive format. The material is intended for final connector and ferrule polishing and other controlled fine-lapping operations where a precision abrasive film is used as part of the finishing process.
