Product Description

3M Neoprene High Performance Contact Adhesive 1357L is a low-viscosity, one-part solvent-based neoprene contact adhesive for large-area and composite lamination. The gray/green liquid contains 17 to 19 wt% solids and has typical viscosity of 35 to 65 cP at 27 deg C, supporting spray, brush, or roller application. Applied to both prepared surfaces, it dries in about 10 minutes and provides an approximately 30-minute bonding range at 21 deg C and 35% RH. Uniform pressure develops immediate handling strength for machining or trimming after assembly. The adhesive bonds rubber, cloth, metal, wood, foamed glass, paper honeycomb, and decorative plastic laminates in supported industrial laminating and panel-construction work.

Key features

  • Low-viscosity application: Typical 35 to 65 cP viscosity at 27 deg C supports spray, brush, and roller coating.
  • Controlled bonding window: The adhesive dries in about 10 minutes and provides an approximately 30-minute bonding range at 21 deg C and 35% RH.
  • Immediate handling strength: Uniform assembly pressure supports machining or trimming directly after the bond is formed.

Applications

Applications include large-panel and composite lamination and bonding rubber, cloth, metal, wood, foamed glass, paper honeycomb, and decorative plastic laminates.
