3M Flexible Foam 08463 is a two-part urethane foam-in-place system for replacing flexible OEM foam in vehicle body cavities. The mixed liquid is dispensed through a static mixing nozzle and develops into a closed-cell, 100% solids foam. A typical full cure is one hour at 23 deg C, and unrestricted foam density is 0.13 kg/L. The flexible cured material provides insulation and sound-deadening functions in enclosed automotive structures, giving collision-repair technicians a direct-application material for restoring foam in door intrusion beams, roof bows, body-side panels, and other NVH cavities after welding is complete. It is supplied in a 200 mL dual cartridge for compatible static-mix application.
